Robert Lee purchased Queen Funeral Home in Shoals, Indiana in 1978. Gordon Queen and his wife, Mildred, left Shoals immediately after the sale, and Mr. Queen had a severe coronary within the first two weeks after the sale.

After Lee’s purchase of the funeral home, the name changed to Queen-Lee Funeral Home and associated with Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford. The funeral home to this day is located at the same location in the small town of Shoals, Indiana. In 1990, extensive redecorating and structural changes were made. On December 1, 2016, Mr. Robert Lee and his wife Marjorie sold the Queen-Lee Funeral Home to Bedford residents, Philip M. and Amelia Thorne and Derek C. and Abby George, who currently own and operate the Ferguson-Lee and Queen-Lee Chapels.

In the summer of 2022, Derek C. And Abby A. George solely purchased the funeral home, with Derek continuing to manage the day to day operations.
